Adam Bacher is a commercial photographer and photojournalist based in Portland, Oregon. He is working on a book project documenting Rwanda’s return to peace after the 1994 genocide. The people of Rwanda are its greatest assets, the strength of their accomplishments, the sorrow of their history, and the depth of their character. The Rwandans are an example of the potential of the human spirit to triumph over the worst of circumstances. They have many lessons to teach the world about peace.

Hi Adam,
We just returned from short stay on Molokai and I got caught up with your blog. I am so proud of you that I can't even stand it. Your work is bringing tears to my eyes (and you know how hard hearted I am). Of course I love the gorrillas, but the portaits---adults and children alike are amazing. You are amazing! Jack shares my sentiments. We love you---keep going for it!

Adam, received the wonderful card about the blog site. It brought tears to my eyes. The map I can follow your journey, the people we are desperate to help I wish I could hug each one. And the children - our children they are beautiful. THANK YOU for this special gift.

Hey Adam, it's good to hear from you. My dad and I just got the postcard that you were on assignment. That's great. I am leaving for southern Africa on Oct. 16th (I will be in namibia, botswana, zambia, and South Africa). I will be doing both sight seeing and climbing. Talk to you soon and have fun out there.
